Recommended Usage
- For Body Scrubs: 25% to 65% of the total formula by weight.
- For Lip Scrubs: 20% to 40%. Since the skin on the lips is delicate, the scrub needs a higher ratio of moisturizing butters and oils.
- For Exfoliating Bar Soaps (as an additive): A common starting point is about 1 tablespoon per pound of soap. This provides noticeable exfoliation without being overly harsh.
- As a Decorative Topping (on soaps/bath bombs): For purely visual appeal, there's no set percentage. You would simply sprinkle on the desired amount to achieve the look you want.
The best practice is always to start with a small test batch at a lower percentage and adjust until you achieve the perfect texture and performance for your product.
